The crash took place on Interstate 10 near UTSA Boulevard at around 2:30 a.m. It was reported that a Toyota Camry was traveling on the access road when it crossed the center lines and collided with an 18-wheeler. The driver of the Camry exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
A third vehicle collided with the Camry after the initial crash. That driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No updates on their condition have been provided at this time. Emergency responders were present to render aid, but no additional information has been provided at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
