Brewster County, TX – Three TX Park & Wildlife Employees Killed in Helicopter Crash

Brewster County, TX (August 11, 2020) – An aircraft accident over the weekend claimed the lives of three people, according to reports.

On August 8, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a helicopter crash in the southeastern area of Brewster County.

Reports provided by authorities show that a Texas Park and Wildlife helicopter was conducting aerial surveys for desert bighorn sheep when the helicopter crashed for unknown reasons. Three victims inside were killed instantly in the crash. The fourth victim, who was the pilot, was treated at the scene for injuries and transported to an area hospital for further treatment.

The three victims who lost their lives in this accident were later identified as Dewey Stockbridge, Brandon White, and Dr. Bob Dittmar. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
