The fatal accident was reported on US-287 at around 3:18 a.m. in Hardeman County. It was reported that a semi-truck collided with a pickup truck on the highway. It was later revealed that the 23-year-old Lubbock man driving the pickup failed to yield to the semi and was hit directly.

The driver of the pickup was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The identities of the deceased parties have been withheld.

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal accident is in progress.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased victims at this time.
