Truck Accidents in Texas

Van Horn, TX – 12-Vehicle Truck Crash Reported on I-10 near I-10/I-20 SplitTruck accidents leave thousands of people hurt every year in the state of Texas. Unfortunately, we see countless people left with spinal cord fractures, broken bones, and other serious injuries that require emergency medical care. One of the most common causes of truck accidents in Texas, especially during winter, is icy road conditions.

There are several reasons why icy road conditions are incredibly dangerous for truck drivers. To begin, semi-trucks are much heavier than other vehicles on the road. This makes it much more difficult for them to come to a stop when traveling on icy roads. It also increases the likelihood that drivers will lose control of their vehicles while trying to travel over icy roadways.

Additionally, the higher center of gravity makes trucks more likely to tip over while traveling on icy road conditions. If they are involved in crashes with other vehicles or objects, the chances of them overturning are dramatically increased.

Finally, icy road conditions can make it more difficult for drivers to see what is on the road ahead of them. When snow or ice forms over the windshield or Windows, it can obscure the driver’s view. It can also take over mirrors, making it more difficult for truck drivers to see their blind spots or other vehicles nearby.

Regrettably, we see our fair share of truck accidents take place here in the state of Texas that can be prevented. If you have been hurt as a result of a truck accident, a qualified truck accident lawyer can help you protect your legal rights and take legal action against the responsible party.
