Upton County, TX - Truck Crash at TX-349 & Co Rd 116 Results in Injuries

Upton County, TX (January 28, 2023)—The Texas Department of Public Safety was called to the scene of a traffic collision in Upton County that injured. On January 26, authorities were called to a crash on Texas State Highway 349.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., two trucks collided head-on on Texas State Highway 349. A car, which had flipped over, was also involved in the accident. Authorities responded to the scene of the accident and closed off Texas State Highway 349 in the area near County Road 116, just south of Midland.

Emergency crews stayed at the scene of the crash for an extended period as they assisted in clearing the roadway.

Paramedics were called to the scene to render aid to the injured parties. At least one person suffered injuries that required further medical care. Those harmed were transported to area hospitals by ambulance.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
