Fatal Truck Accidents in Texas

Harlingen, TX – Two Killed in Three-Vehicle Truck Wreck on FM 106

Texans drive an estimated 282 trillion miles on the roads of our state every year, with an average of 1.29 deaths occurring for every 100 million miles traveled. Although this might not seem like a lot, motor vehicle accidents happen regularly and can have a devastating impact on the lives of victims and their families.

On average, there is a collision involving injuries reported somewhere in Texas every two minutes. Each year, these incidents leave over 270,000 people with disabling injuries and take the lives of more than 4400 victims. Semi-trucks and commercial vehicles are involved in hundreds of these accidents.

Far too often, vehicle accidents take place as a result of negligent drivers. We see many crashes caused by drivers who are not paying attention, are impaired by alcohol, or traveling at too high of a speed. Unfortunately, these and other negligent actions need to tear apart families across their state every single day. In fact, more than 11 people die every day as a result of traffic crashes. If your loved one has died as a result of a fatal truck crash, your family may be able to take legal action. A wrongful death lawyer in Harlingen can help you pursue legal action against the person who caused the death of your loved one, so you can recover compensation for your damages. In Texas, a wrongful death claim helps families recover funeral costs, burial expenses, and more. Taking legal action as soon as possible can provide your family with the best chance of getting justice.
