At around 11:10 a.m., on February 9, emergency crews were called to the scene of a major incident off Farm to Market Road 4. Reports indicate that a Beechcraft BE33 crashed north of FM 4, just west of County Road 2580.
Sadly, the pilot on board suffered fatal injuries and was immediately declared deceased.
At this time, the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating. Authorities believe the plane actually crashed on Saturday due to evidence at the scene.
