Dayton, TX – Toni Jo Brown Killed in Car Crash on TX-321

Dayton, TX (August 26, 2020) – A car crash reported in the Tarkington area on Tuesday morning claimed one woman’s life. On August 25, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a crash on Texas State Highway 321.

Reports show that 29-year-old Toni Jo Brown was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima north on Texas State Highway 321 when her vehicle collided head-on with a Ford F-250, which was driven by 47-year-old Martin Rueda, just north of Farm to Market Road 1008. The impact of the crash sent the Altima across the road where it then collided with a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500, which was driven by 29-year-old Joshua Robinson.

Brown sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was immediately declared deceased. Robinson sustained minor injuries in the accident and was transported to HCA Houston ER 24/7 – Cleveland for treatment of minor injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
