Cameron County, TX – Fatal Plane Crash Reported near Port Isabel Airport

Cameron County, TX (December 17, 2020) – Two people have lost their life following a plane accident in the Port Isabel area of Cameron County. Reports from authorities show that just before midnight on December 15, emergency crews were called to the site of a plane crash near the Port Isabel – Cameron County Airport.

Reports show that a yellow and green fixed-wing plane crashed in a field near the airport.  Crews arrived at the scene to determine if anyone was injured in the accident.

Crews discovered two people inside the plane. They were identified as 78-year-old Abel Cleveland Grover and 51-year-old Kai Uwe Wulff. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
