Austin, TX – Pedestrian Killed in Accident on Menchaca Rd

Austin, TX (February 17, 2020) – A pedestrian accident on Saturday sadly claimed one victim’s life.

At around 10:36 p.m., on February 15, the Austin-Travis County EMS, along with police, responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 10000 block of Menchaca Road near the intersection with Slaughter Lane. Reports indicate that a pedestrian was struck along the roadway for unknown reasons.

The victim, who was only identified as an adult, was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was subsequently arrested on the suspicion of intoxication manslaughter.

At this time, police are investigating.
