Fort Worth, TX - Pedestrian Killed After Driver Swerves to Avoid Semi on I-35

Fort Worth, TX (October 8, 2023) - One person was killed and another critically injured after a collision in Fort Worth on Thursday morning, October 5. 

The deadly accident took place on Interstate 35 WB. A driver reportedly had run out of gas and was waiting for a friend to provide assistance. The man’s friend arrived, and both were outside of their vehicles and waiting on the median. A driver reportedly swerved to avoid hitting a semi-truck and hit both pedestrians. 

One of the victims died immediately and was pronounced dead by attending medical personnel. The other pedestrian suffered critical injuries and was hospitalized. 

It is unknown which of the two were killed in the accident. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is in progress, and more information will be released as it continues.
