Waco, TX - Local Woman Fatally Hit by 18-Wheeler on I-35

Waco, TX (November 9, 2023) - A local woman was killed after being hit by a commercial rig in the Waco area on Tuesday, November 7. 

The deadly crash was reported on Interstate 35 near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at around 8 a.m. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of an auto-pedestrian accident on the interstate. A 28-year-old Waco woman had reportedly been hit by an 18-wheeler. 

She suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. The area was closed while emergency crews were present. The roadway has since been reopened. 

The identity of the deceased party has been withheld. No further information has been provided at this time. 

Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing crash investigation, and more information will be provided as it continues.
