Buda, TX - One Dead in Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-35 near FM 2001

Buda, TX (September 17, 2023) - A pileup crash in Buda on Friday, September 15, resulted in one person being killed. 

The deadly accident took place on Interstate 35 NB near Farm to Market Road 2001 at around 4 a.m. A total of four vehicles were involved in the crash, and one of the vehicles was reportedly a semi-truck. One of the cars involved was traveling in the wrong direction at the time of the impact. 

All northbound lanes on I-35 were temporarily closed for several hours while emergency units were present. The area was later reopened at around 8:30 a.m. after crews were able to remove the damaged vehicles. 

One person suffered fatal injuries in the collision. It is currently unknown if there were any other injuries. No further updates on the deadly accident have been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in the hands of local law enforcement officials, and additional details will be made public as it continues.
