San Antonio, TX – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Train on Duval St

San Antonio, TX (October 15, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the San Antonio area claimed one person’s life early Thursday morning. At approximately 12:50 a.m., on October 15, the San Antonio Police Department responded to the site of a crash on Duval Street.

Reports provided by local authorities demonstrate that a pedestrian was walking alone across the tracks positioned near the intersection of Duval Street and North Pine Street. At the pedestrian crossed over the tracks, they were struck by a train.

The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the accident and immediately passed away at the scene. Responding officers located the victim and pronounced them deceased on arrival. The police secured the area and began to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. At this time, investigations are ongoing.
