The crash was reported on Farm to Market Road 92 near Post Plan Road at around 3:35 a.m. Local sources revealed that a 2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck was headed south when the driver slowed to make a left turn at the intersection. A 2007 Ford Edge traveling behind the pickup veered to the right to avoid hitting the vehicle and entered oncoming traffic.
A 2014 Peterbilt truck tractor was headed north when it collided with the SUV. The truck driver then left the road and crashed into a fence. The rig’s operator was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the SUV was cited for failing to stay in a single lane. No other injuries were reported.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for a full recovery.
