Deadly Box Truck Crashes in Texas
Large trucks can easily cause catastrophic injuries in a collision, particularly when passenger vehicles are involved. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Fatality Analysis Reporting System reports that 643 truck-related fatalities occurred in Texas in 2020, and 180 of these deaths involved occupants of passenger cars. Most of these fatal collisions took place on highways at speeds higher than 65 miles per hour. Every year, millions of semi-trucks travel billions of miles across the state of Texas on its roadways, and you do not have to drive long to share the road with a large commercial truck in the state.
