Semi-Truck Accidents in Texas
Of the more than 200 million drivers in the country, 3.5 million are truck drivers. Unfortunately, about 4,000 people lose their lives in truck-related collisions every year. This applies to all drivers, passengers, and pedestrians, not just truck drivers. Commercial vehicle accidents result in approximately 130,000 injuries in addition to these fatalities. These injuries can include severe, permanently altering injuries as well as cuts, bruises, broken limbs, and bruising.
Commercial vehicles like 18-wheelers and other large trucks are all over Texas roadways. Across the state, these vehicles are responsible for several catastrophic collisions. When a semi-truck strikes another vehicle, the impact can cause devastation to those involved. Victims are known to suffer life-threatening or fatal injuries in these types of accidents.
Tragically, many truck accident victims do not receive the medical care and financial support they require to fully recover. The trucking business works hard to ensure that accident victims receive the least amount of compensation for their losses.
