Woodville, TX – Bobby Lee Smith Killed in Truck Crash on US Highway 190

Woodville, TX (August 17, 2020) – Just after 8:30 a.m., on August 16, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 190.

Reports provided by authorities show that 20-year-old Bobby Lee Smith was traveling north of Farm to Market Road 92 in a 2007 Ford Passenger vehicle when his vehicle was struck by a 2018 Peterbilt semi-truck tractor-trailer at the intersection with US Highway 190.

The crash resulted in extensive damages to Smith’s vehicle. Emergency personnel arrived at the site of the incident and declared Smith deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck, 65-year-old John Watson, was treated for minor injuries. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
