Wolfforth, TX – Motorcyclist Injured in Truck Accident on Dowden Rd

Wolfforth, TX (July 16, 2020) – An automobile accident on Wednesday afternoon left one victim seriously injured in Lubbock County, according to reports. Just before 4 p.m., on July 15, emergency crews were called to the scene of an auto accident on Dowden Road (Farm to Market Road 179).

According to reports provided by the Wolfforth and Lubbock Police Departments, a motorcyclist was traveling north on Farm to Market Road 179, along with the semi-truck. As the vehicles proceeded toward the intersection with County Road 7250, they collided just south of Evie Mae’s.

The rider on the motorcycle, who was identified as a 47-year-old man, was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
