Wichita Falls, TX (July 10, 2020) – An automobile accident on Tuesday evening claimed one man’s life in Wichita Falls. On July 7, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Texas Highway 82.
Reports from authorities show that at 10:04 p.m., 42-year-old Jason Leigh Winkler was driving east on the highway in a 2006 Dodge pickup truck when his vehicle collided with a semi-truck between the areas of Turkey Ranch Road and Farm to Market Road 258.
The impact of the collision caused the Dodge to burst into flames, fully engulfing the vehicle. Winkler suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was immediately declared deceased at the scene. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
