San Antonio, TX – Pedestrian Injured in Crash on Poteet Jourdanton Fwy

San Antonio, TX (July 17, 2020) – An automobile accident on Thursday evening left one person seriously injured in Bexar County. Just after 10:35 p.m., on July 16, the San Antonio Police Department responded to the scene of a collision on Poteet Jourdanton Freeway.

Reports from authorities show that a male pedestrian in his 20s was walking near the intersection of Poteet Jourdanton Freeway and Villaret Boulevard when he was struck by a car after the brakes on the vehicle gave out. The man sustained serious injuries in the accident. The driver of the vehicle was able to come to a stop after a short distance and rendered aid to the injured man until the police arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, the SAPD is investigating.
