Rusk County, TX – Truck Crash on TX-315 Claims One Victim’s Life

Rusk County, TX (August 20, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Rusk County claimed one victim’s life on Tuesday. At 1:30 p.m., on August 18, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Texas State Highway 315.

Reports from authorities show that a 27-year-old man was traveling southwest on Texas State Highway 315 in a 2016 Ford F-250 when his vehicle collided with a semi-truck head-on. The driver of the Ford was fatally injured in the accident. Medical personnel responded to the site and immediately declared the victim deceased. The driver of the semi-truck was injured in the accident. He was transported to CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Francis Hospital for treatment of injuries. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
