Lipan, TX – Rebekah Wendt & Tyler Colvin Killed in Accident on FM 4

Lipan, TX (July 13, 2020) – At approximately 6:20 p.m., on July 10, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 4.

Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety show that 19-year-old Tyler Colvin was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla east on Farm to Market Road 4 when he was involved in a collision with a 2016 GMC 3500 pickup truck at the intersection with US Highway 281.

Colvin sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. A passenger inside the Corolla, who was identified as 20-year-old Rebekah Wendt, was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
