Fatal Motorcycle Accidents in Texas

Kirby, TX – Dorrell Godley Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Old Seguin RdMotorcycles are often considered a rejuvenating method of transportation. Here in Texas, nearly 350,000 people are registered motorcycle owners. Although riders account for a small fraction of the number of travelers on roadways daily, they are involved in collisions at an alarming rate. The fact that riders remain vulnerable to outside forces means they are more likely to suffer catastrophic injuries in collisions.

The majority of motorcycle accidents in our state are a result of negligent drivers. Driver errors and those engaging in reckless actions like texting, eating, or changing the radio while driving, as well as those who choose to drive impaired, commonly cause life-changing accidents throughout our state. Although thousands of people are left with serious injuries due to motorcycle accidents, more than 500 motorcyclists lose their lives in accidents throughout our state each year. When victims end up passing away due to accidents caused by reckless or negligent drivers, it is imperative that their families contact a wrongful death attorney in Texas as soon as possible.

When motorcyclists lose their lives in preventable accidents, their families are able to file wrongful death claims against wrongdoers to obtain compensation for funeral costs, medical treatment, and various other financial burdens they face moving forward after an unexpected loss.
