Fort Worth, TX – Truck Driver Fatally Struck by Vehicle on I-20

Fort Worth, TX (July 10, 2020) – An automobile accident claimed one man’s life in far west Tarrant County early Thursday morning. On July 9, the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 20.

Reports from the Sheriff’s Office show that a male truck driver was traveling down the interstate when he pulled his vehicle to the side of the road on the westbound side of the interstate near Markum Ranch Road. The driver exited his vehicle and was standing outside of his rig when he was struck by a vehicle.

The victim, who was identified as a 65-year-old man, was fatally injured in the accident. Crews immediately declared the victim deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
