Dallas, TX – Pedestrian Fatally Struck on US-175 (C F Hawn Freeway)

Dallas, TX (July 21, 2020) – An accident early Tuesday morning claimed the life of one victim in the Dallas area. At approximately 5 a.m., on July 21, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 175.

Reports from authorities show that a pedestrian was walking along the eastbound side of the highway when they were struck by a vehicle near the St Augustine Service Road. The pedestrian was fatally injured in the accident. Crews responding to the site immediately declared the victim deceased. Crews closed off the area and began investigating to determine the cause of the crash. At this time, investigations surrounding the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing.
