Wingate, TX - Two Injured in Head-On Crash with 18-Wheeler at TX-153 & US-277

Wingate, TX (December 16, 2023) - A two-vehicle collision in the Wingate area on Wednesday, December 13, left two people injured. The collision was reported on TX-153 near US-277 at around 12:42 p.m. Local reports indicated that there was moisture on the roadway, and the conditions caused a semi-truck to jackknife into oncoming traffic. 

The 18-wheeler collided head-on with an oncoming sedan. Two victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment, with one person listed in critical condition after being extricated from the vehicle. At this time, no updates on the conditions of the involved parties have been provided.
