Westbrook, TX - One Killed, Three Hurt in Pileup Crash on FM 33

Westbrook, TX (November 14, 2023) - On Friday, November 10, one person was killed, and three others were injured after a pileup crash involving two semi-trucks in the Westbrook area. 

The deadly accident took place on Farm to Market Road 33 near mile marker 313. Local reports revealed that a semi-truck was headed westbound, as another semi-truck was traveling eastbound. The driver of the first semi failed to maintain a single lane and sideswiped the eastbound 18-wheeler. The first truck continued traveling west in the eastbound lanes when they hit another vehicle. The semi-truck jackknifed on the roadway, and a fourth vehicle hit the rear of the rig. The operator of the truck was ejected in the collision and killed. The driver of the second semi was treated at the scene. The occupants of the other two vehicles were transported to Scenic Mountain Medical Center for treatment of sustained injuries. 

No additional information has been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is in progress.
