Tyler, TX - One Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 31

Tyler, TX (January 10, 2024) - A person was killed following a vehicle collision in the Tyler area on Tuesday, January 9. The deadly accident was reported at the 3000 block of Highway 31 EB near Loop 323 at around 6 p.m. A truck and a passenger car were reportedly involved in the accident. 

There was entrapment involved in the accident, and emergency responders were sent to extricate the involved parties. One person suffered fatal injuries in the impact, but the identity of the deceased party has not yet been provided. All east and westbound lanes were closed as a result of the crash. The area was later cleared and reopened to outside traffic. No further updates are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
