Pharr, TX - Man Fatally Hit by Semi near Top Golf at I-2 & US-83 Bus

Pharr, TX (April 27, 2023) - On Wednesday, April 26, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a semi-truck in the Pharr area. 

The deadly crash was reported near a Top Golf at the intersection of Interstate 2 EB and US-78 Business. A 59-year-old man was traveling near the scene when the oncoming tractor-trailer hit him. The man suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. 

The operator of the rig remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. The identity of the deceased has been withheld. 

An ongoing investigation into the deadly crash is in progress.
