Lubbock, TX - One Hospitalized in Two-Vehicle Semi-Truck Crash at FM179 & FM1585

Lubbock, TX (February 7, 2024) - On Monday, February 5, there were reported injuries after a two-vehicle collision in the Lubbock area. The accident took place at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 179 and Mark to Market Road 1585 just before noon. All lanes on FM 1585 were closed as a result of the collision. 

Local reports indicated that the crash involved a semi-truck and another vehicle. One person involved in the accident was transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. No updates on the conditions of the involved parties are currently available. 

The area was closed for several hours until tow trucks were able to remove the damaged vehicles. No additional information on the crash has been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
