Houston, TX - Woman Dies in Hit-&-Run on Howell Sugar Land Rd

Houston, TX (March 24, 2024) - A woman was killed following a deadly crash in the Houston area on Wednesday, March 20. The deadly accident took place on Howell Sugar Land Road between Highway 6 and Eldridge Parkway late that night around 10:30 p.m. Local reports revealed that 75-year-old Me Thi Le was traveling on foot when she was hit by two motor vehicles. 

As the victim was crossing the road, she was hit by an oncoming pickup truck. Local witnesses said that the driver of the older model Chevrolet truck got out at the scene, picked up the bumper, and fled without rendering aid. Le was then hit again by a black Cadillac SUV. That driver also failed to remain at the scene. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency crews arrived. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
