There is a strong chance that you will suffer major injuries in an accident if it involves a massive commercial truck. In 2020, 4,998 large trucks and buses were engaged in deadly collisions across the country. That is an increase of around 5 percent from 2019. A total of 118,000 tractor-trailers were involved in injury crashes in the United States that year, another nearly 5 percent increase. Since 2016, the number of fatal trucking accidents on the roadways has risen by about 16 percent.
If you or a loved one is hurt in an 18-wheeler accident, you may be able to pursue financial compensation. In the aftermath of a crash, you may be unsure of what to do in order to achieve a complete recovery. That is why it is suggested that you consult with a knowledgeable attorney who has worked on truck injury cases for several years.
