18-Wheeler Crashes in Texas
In the United States, there are more than 15 million large commercial trucks in use, and Texas highways are frequently congested with 18-wheelers and other transportation vehicles. These massive vehicles are essential to the American transportation system and serve as a hub for trade across the country in the Lone Star State. In 2020, there were 4,014 fatal semi-truck collisions countrywide, an almost 28% increase from 2009.Commercial vehicles like 18-wheelers and other large trucks are common sights on Texas highways, and all around the state, these vehicles have been involved in a significant number of fatal crashes. The force from a semi-truck colliding with another vehicle may be catastrophic, and these kinds of accidents have been known to leave victims with fatal and serious injuries. Unfortunately, those traveling in smaller passenger cars often suffer the most. Many truck accident victims do not receive the necessary medical care or financial support they need to fully recover.
