18-Wheeler Crashes in Texas
A collision involving a large commercial rig can cause complete devastation to those traveling in smaller vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System revealed that the state of Texas experienced 643 trucking fatalities in 2020. A total of 342 of these accidents involved the drivers of another vehicle, and 108 of these deaths were passengers in other vehicles. It should not be too surprising that nearly half of these deadly accidents involved speeds exceeding 65 miles per hour. When you are involved in a crash with a semi-truck, you are at greater risk of suffering life-threatening injuries. The size and weight of these massive vehicles mean that passenger cars are no match to face the full impact.
