Leander, TX - Fatal Auto Accident at US-183 & Sheila Dr

Leander, TX (April 16, 2024) - There were fatal injuries after a collision in the Leander area on Monday, April 15. The deadly crash occurred on US-183 SB near Sheila Drive early that morning around 6:30 a.m. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to render the necessary aid to the involved parties. 

All southbound lanes were closed while emergency responders were present. At least one person involved in the crash suffered fatal injuries. At this time, it is unknown how many people were involved in the collision and if there were other resulting injuries. The circumstances leading to the collision have not been determined. The area was temporarily closed while authorities worked to clear the scene, and tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting wreckage and other debris.
