San Antonio, TX - Man Fatally Hit by Commercial Truck on I-10

San Antonio, TX (April 9, 2024) - A man in San Antonio was killed after being hit by a semi-truck on Sunday, April 7. The deadly accident was reported on Interstate 10 after a man in his 30s pulled over on the highway. The victim was reportedly experiencing issues with a recreational vehicle, and one of his dogs got loose. 

The man was chasing the dog when an oncoming 18-wheeler hit him. The trucker stopped to provide aid to the injured party, but the man suffered fatal injuries. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene, and the victim was later pronounced dead. Two of the dogs were also hurt, and Animal Care Services provided aid at the scene. No charges have been filed at this time. The identities of the involved parties have been withheld. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
