Navasota, TX - Injuries in Fatal Semi-truck Crash at TX-105 & CR 446

Navasota, TX (April 7, 2024) - On Friday, April 5, one person was killed and several others were injured after a crash involving an 18-wheeler in the Navasota area. The deadly accident was reported at the crossing of TX-105 and County Road 446 early that morning around 7:43 a.m. Local reports revealed that a 2015 Freightliner truck was traveling eastbound on the highway as a 2021 Nissan passenger vehicle was traveling west at the time of the crash. 

The driver of the Nissan, 29-year-old Kaylin Corbin of Benbrook, veered into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on with the oncoming semi. Corbin and a three-year-old passenger were transported to St. Joseph Regional Health Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. A four-year-old passenger was taken by medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann in serious condition. 

The front-seat passenger, 31-year-old Jon Archer of Benbrook, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the accident. No further updates on the deadly collision are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
