San Angelo, TX (April 6, 2024) - On Thursday, April 4, a woman was injured in a pedestrian accident in the San Angelo area. The collision occurred at the 1800 block of S. A and M Avenue that afternoon. Local reports revealed that the pedestrian was hit by a black Jeep Wrangler.
Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene. The woman was found conscious lying on the ground when officials arrived. She was later transported to Shannon Medical Center by ambulance. It was later revealed that the 76-year-old driver of the Jeep veered into the front yard of a nearby residence after hitting the pedestrian. The circumstances leading to the accident have not yet been provided. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
