Desdemona, TX - Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Pickup at FM 2214 & FM 8

Desdemona, TX (April 5, 2024) - On Wednesday, April 3, a pedestrian was killed after a collision in the Desdemona area. The fatal accident was reported at the corner of Farm to Market Roads 2214 and 8 early that morning, around 12:01 a.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene after being notified of a pedestrian-vehicle accident. 

Local reports revealed that the victim was on the roadway as a motor vehicle was traveling down FM 2214. The pedestrian was hit by the oncoming vehicle. The injured party suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased victim was later identified as 31-year-old Catelyn Brooke Jordan of Stanton. No other injuries were reported in the collision. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
