Houston, TX - Pedestrian Fatally Hit at TX-610 & Yale St

Houston, TX (April 2, 2024) - A fatal pedestrian crash was reported in the Houston area on Monday, April 1. The deadly accident took place at the intersection of TX-610 NB near Yale Street early that morning at around 4:30 a.m. Local sources indicated that a 44-year-old male pedestrian was traveling at the scene when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle. 

Emergency crews were quickly dispatched after being notified of a pedestrian-vehicle crash. The victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. The westbound lanes of the roadway were closed for several hours while emergency responders were present. No further updates on the crash are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
