Odessa, TX - Injury Stop Sign Crash at 51st St & Everglade Ave

Odessa, TX (March 20, 2024) - On Sunday, March 17, there were confirmed injuries after a driver ran a stop sign in the Odessa area. The accident was reported at the corner of 51st Street and Everglade Avenue that afternoon at around 3:14 p.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to render the necessary aid. 

Local reports indicated that a 53-year-old woman was driving a white Nissan Rogue headed northbound while a 22-year-old man was headed west in a blue Nissan Armada. The man driving the Armada ran a stop sign and collided with the other vehicle. The impact caused the Rogue to overturn. Both drivers were hurt and transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The driver of the Armada received several citations from authorities. No further information is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
