Temple, TX - Victoria Beluso Aranas Killed in 18-wheeler Crash on I-35

Temple, TX (March 9, 2024) - On Thursday morning, March 7, a Mississippi woman was killed after a crash involving a semi-truck in the Temple area. The deadly accident was reported on Interstate 35 near Exit 306 early that morning at around 8 a.m. Local reports revealed that 72-year-old Victoria Beluso Aranas of Vicksburg, MS, was inside a stopped vehicle on the interstate after experiencing a mechanical issue. 

The car was hit from behind by an 18-wheeler. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. Aranas suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead by responding medical personnel.

The area was closed for several hours while emergency crews were present. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
