Hearne, TX - Several Hurt in Pileup Collision on US-79

Hearne, TX (March 5, 2024) - On Sunday, March 3, several injuries were reported after a multi-vehicle crash in the Hearne area. The accident took place on US-79 in Robertson County near the Brazos River at around 3 p.m. Local reports indicated that a northbound 2018 Ford F-350 pickup truck was hauling a trailer when it experienced a defect that caused it to enter southbound traffic. 

Three vehicles headed south hit the trailer. The vehicles were later reported as a 2015 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup, a 2015 Kia Sorento, and a 2020 Kia Soul. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. 

Several people at the scene were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The number and severity of the resulting injuries have not yet been determined. No further information on the accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling an ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision.
