Fort Worth, TX (February 26, 2024) - Early on Sunday morning, February 25, a man was killed after being hit by a motor vehicle in the Fort Worth area. The deadly crash occurred on Interstate 20 near Farm to Market Road 1187 early that morning at around 6:35 a.m. Local reports indicated that the victim had been involved in a crash with a semi-truck and had exited his vehicle to exchange information and call a tow truck.
As the man was waiting outside his vehicle, he was hit by an oncoming motor vehicle. The victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown if the driver remained at the scene.
The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. The identity of the deceased party has been withheld. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
