Austin, TX - One Killed, Another Hurt in 18-Wheeler Crash on TX-45

Austin, TX (February 6, 2024) - On Monday, February 5, one person was killed and another was injured following a two-vehicle crash in the Austin area. The deadly accident was reported on TX-45 near US-183 toll road at around 6:45 a.m. A pickup truck and an 18-wheeler reportedly collided at the scene. 

All westbound lanes on the highway were closed as emergency responders were present. One person involved in the crash suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. Another victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. 

At this time, the circumstances leading to the accident have not been determined. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
