Spring, TX - One Hospitalized in Box Truck Collision at I-45 & Grand Pkwy

Spring, TX (December 15, 2023) - A two-vehicle collision in the Spring area on Tuesday, December 12, resulted in confirmed injuries. The accident was reported on Interstate 45 NB near Grand Parkway at around 8:42 a.m. A van and a box truck reportedly collided at the scene. The impact caused at least one vehicle to catch fire, and the driver of the van was trapped inside the vehicle. 

The victim had to be extricated from the van and was later transported to a local hospital for treatment. Images from the scene showed that the box truck sustained significant damage in the impact. The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present, and crews had to clear the site of the resulting wreckage. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
