Victoria, TX - Passenger Dies in 18-Wheeler Collision on US-59

Victoria, TX (December 13, 2023) - One person was killed and another was injured following a collision involving a semi-truck outside of Victoria on Monday evening, December 11. The deadly accident was reported on US-59 near mile marker 640A at around 6:45 p.m. Local reports indicated that an 18-wheeler and a sport-utility vehicle collided at the scene. The SUV was reportedly wedged underneath the trailer of the commercial truck. 

A female passenger suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Another victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. At this time, no additional information has been provided. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing accident investigation, and more information will be released as it continues.
