Austin, TX - Employee Fatally Hit by Fuel Truck at Austin-Bergstrom Airport

Austin, TX (November 2, 2023) - On Tuesday morning, October 31, a city employee was killed after being hit by a fuel transport vehicle at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. 

The deadly incident was reported near the Barbara Jordan Terminal, and emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at around 9:26 a.m. The victim was reportedly on the tarmac when he was hit by the oncoming truck. They suffered fatal injuries and were later pronounced dead. 

At this time, no additional information on the accident has been made public. The identity of the deceased has been withheld. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials, and more information will be released as it progresses.
