The damage and injuries that result from a head-on collision between two automobiles are often devastating. This is especially true when an 18-wheeler or other large vehicle is involved in the collision. In the United States, head-on collisions account for 10 percent of all roadway fatalities each year. This is very concerning when you consider that less than 2 percent of crashes involve head-on collisions. These collisions are frequently the result of the negligence or reckless driving of other motorists, namely those who deviate into oncoming traffic because of poor road conditions or other factors. Recovering from a serious crash can be very hard on your own. There is a strict legal system that dictates how crash victims can obtain compensation, and it is common for accident victims to be unsure of what to do in order to pursue their personal injury claim. You will need someone with the right experience to help you navigate the complicated claims process and ensure that you and your loved ones are able to receive complete compensation after being seriously hurt in a devastating collision. The insurance provider will likely reach out to you to ask you questions about the accident, and they may even ask you to provide a recorded statement. This is not in your favor. You are not required to give a recorded statement to the insurer, and the adjuster will try to use anything you say against you in order to limit or even outright deny your claim. You should instead have the adjuster contact your lawyer so you can make sure your claim and legal rights are protected. You need an experienced legal team on your side if you are unexpectedly hurt in a car accident.
